What We Do
Three ways we protect Tanzania's children.
Our six organizational objectives (see them in full on the About page) become three areas of work — from a classroom safety lesson to a policy conversation to a counselling room.
Pillar One
Educate & Prevent
The first line of protection is a child who knows what to watch for, what to do, and who to tell. This pillar puts practical safety skills directly into children's hands, and equips the adults around them — parents, guardians, and communities — to reinforce those lessons at home.
To provide children with practical safety education that empowers them to recognize, avoid, and respond to situations of abuse, abduction, and trafficking.
To raise awareness among parents, guardians, and communities about child protection and their role in creating safe environments for children.

Schools and community groups can host a safety-education session, and parents can bring these conversations home.

Advocate & Strengthen Systems
Education alone isn't enough if the systems around a child aren't ready to respond. This pillar keeps our work aligned with national policy and pushes for stronger, more accountable child-protection systems at every level — from local communities to national institutions.
To ensure child safety initiatives taken by Child Shield Movement are consistent and adhering with national policies and legal frameworks.
To advocate for stronger child protection systems and accountability mechanisms within both local communities and national institutions.

Local leaders and government partners can help shape and carry this advocacy work forward in their own communities.

Report, Recover & Get Justice
When harm does happen, a child's ability to be heard — and believed — shapes everything that follows. This pillar builds the awareness that makes reporting and tracking abuse cases possible, and the support platform that helps children and families recover afterward.
Awareness among children and society that enables the identification, reporting, and tracking of abuse cases, thereby enhancing the likelihood of securing justice for victims.
To enhance platform for recovery of affected children through counselling, legal assistance, and community care.
Get Involved
Counsellors, legal volunteers, and community-care partners help us build this support platform.
If you are reporting an emergency, please use Tanzania's official police and emergency channels — this form is for general enquiries, feedback, and partnership.
